First Race?

Thinking about trying Motocross? What are you waiting for? WNYRacing wants you to give it a try! That’s why they have created the Mentor Program; a way for you to get into the sport with the helping hand of a Mentor. What is a Mentor? A Mentor is a seasoned WNYRacing member that has volunteered to help new riders get their start in Motocross racing by “showing them the ropes”. They can show you where to sign up; help you choose the best class(es) to race; give you advice on things like bike maintenance, tires, safety gear, etc; help you learn your way around the tracks; answer your questions; and pretty much teach you everything you need to know to get started in this great family-oriented sport! You like to ride, so why not give it a try? You can find the Mentors Group on this site at

Also check out the following document we have prepared to help you through your first race: Your First MX Race12.pdf If you would like a mentor to meet you at your first race, or just someone you can ask a question of, email: We look forward to seeing you at the races!
